Rolling Thunder at Six Flags Great Adventure?
I’m going to 6 Flags tomorrow, and I’ve decided that I’m going to go on Rolling Thunder. This is going to be the 1st roller coaster I’ve ever been on. Any comments/reviews would be really great! Thank! :]
To be honest, Rolling Thunder is kind of scary- not in the way that it is extreme, b/c it is honestly a lame roller coaster, but it’s scary in the way that it’s kind of shady. It’s old and the turns are not banked which makes it feel creepy in a way…it also makes noise and is really bumpy (like most wooden coasters). I’m a coaster enthusiast, but I don’t like coasters like rolling thunder because they feel shady (I hate the turns – I feel like the train is going to derail since they feel tight b/c they aren’t banked)…BUT I am not trying to scare you – the ride is safe, I’m just saying that I wouldn’t go on it as a first rollercoaster, b/c then my mind would think that all coasters are shady and rough. I’d go on the Great Am. Scream Machine – or the runaway train rollercoaster they have. Those aren’t too scary and they are good starter coasters (and both have little to no lines). After that, then you should go on Rolling Thunder. Skull Mountain is another easy rollercoaster there.
Have fun – I hope you go on all of the rollercoasters there. None of them are that scary. I really hope you go on the best ones which are Nitro and El Toro (Bizarro and Batman are also alright in the front row). Again, Rolling Thunder is safe and not extreme at all so it’s ok for younger new riders, but in my opinion I’d start with something like the Mine Train or Great Am. Scream Machine, then go onto Rolling Thunder…I think it’s better to start on steel b/c you may feel safer. Enjoy!
How do i keep my color guard flag from getting tangled around the pole?
This is my first year doing color guard. When i do singles and/or doubles, generally just twisting the pole, the flag gets twisted and/or tangled around the pole. They told me not to roll my wrists but i don’t even know what they mean. Truly i don’t think they even know what they mean. Any suggestions?
I know exactly how you feel. I did this when I 1st started and im pretty sure everyone does this when they are new. What you need to do is lock your wrists. They are in fact rolling, and that what is causing the problem. However telling you not roll wrists or to lock them wont help you all that much. People told me to just stop rolling my wrist and i had no idea how to cause i didnt really kno what i was doing wrong. You just keep doing your singles (dropspins) or your doubles (double time) and you just learn how to lock them. Just make an effort to try to lock them even if you aren’t sure how to, just try. Trust me if you keep doing them the muscles in your wrists will remeber what to do. Like muscle memory 
this isnt something thats easy to give instructions for, you kinda hav to figure it out ya kno? just practice and you will get it, it wont take long
